  2. Mount a horizontal 3/16 x 5 inch rod 20 inch above the edge of a flat work surface.
  3. Fix a stop collar 2 inch from the end of the rod.
    • This end of the rod should protrude into the work volume.
(the space above the work surface).
  4. Use a square to identify and mark a coordinate origin on the work surface directly beneath the center of the face of the stop collar that faces the work volume.
  5. Mark a coordinate axis on the work surface.

    • Use the edge of a length of tape extending from the origin in the direction pointed by the rod.
    • The axis should generally split the work surface in about half.
    • Use one edge of the tape for the axis.
  6. Fixture for the LN Manifold end (free).
  7. Mount a second 3/16 x 5 inch rod vertically on a mobile stand
  8. So the rod can easily be positioned anywhere in the coordinate space.
  9. Locate the rod directly above a convenient edge of the stand.
  10. Fix a stop collar 1.5 inch from the top of the rod.
  11. Mark the point on the edge of the stand directly beneath the center of the rod.

Label and sleeve[edit | edit source]

  1. The bottom edge of the tape will be 1-5/16 in (1.3125) from the end of the tube
  2. The sleeve will be 1.5 in away from the end of the tube
  3. Start tape at opposite side of tube so that when fully wrapped the printed name for that tube is visible
  4. Place labels on the LN manifold frame to identify which FTC the tube goes to
    • Make sure that the sleeve is stretched when it is on the tube so that it has a tight fit.
