Instructions

CO2 cylinder 15 mL sample (onshape)
CO2 cylinder 15 mL
  1. Peel off the clear plastic label cover:
Use a new razor blade to start peeling the plastic off.
    Carefully pull the plastic off.
  2. Remove the paper:
Use a razor blade to scrape off the paper, leaving only adhesive behind.
Angle the blade to avoid scratching the cylinder's surface.
Use alcohol to soften the paper.
  3. Remove the adhesive:
Use naphtha to remove the adhesive.
Use acetone to remove any residue from the naphtha.
  4. Vent the CO2 outdoors using the CO2 Inflator Tool
Tilt the cylinder so that the opening is facing down.
Screw the cylinder into the tool.
Partially unscrew the cylinder and let the gas flow out.
  5. Machine the Opening on the Lathe
Place the cylinder in the lathe and cut off 5 thousandths of an inch from the hole's face.
Widen the hole using a .140 bit in the lathe.
