Instructions

A 3D model of a round metal clamp with two straight ends and a hole in each for clamping.
CFF Clamp.
  1. Prepare the Stock Pieces:
Grab the unbent Xometry stock pieces.
  2. Measure and Bend the Tabs:
Determine the length of the unbent tab using the model.
Place the stock in the sheet metal bender, positioning it at the correct distance.
Bend the stock slightly past 90 degrees.
Ensure the piece is lined up parallel to the stop.
Bend all stock pieces on each side in the same direction.
  3. Form the Circular Shape:
Use a 2-inch bender die (found on the floor bender near the CNC mill) to wrap the stock around and form a circle.
Ensure that the pre-bent edges are facing outward.
Use a 1 3/4-inch bender die to further tighten the circular shape.
  4. Final Adjustments:
Test each clamp on a CFF furnace to ensure a proper fit when tightened.
