  1. Cut blanks that are at least 1.145 inch x 1.145 inch x .50 inch.
    • The final blank will be 1.125 inch x 1.125 inch x .50 inch.
  2. Using the mill size the blanks:
    1. Setup a stop so that the blank hangs off the size of the vice jaws.
    2. Set the mill to a certain distance from the jaw to get it close to the final size.
      • Keep in mind that every side will need to be cut.
    3. Use one of the milling tools to cut one side of the blank by some amount.
    4. Place that cut edge on the bottom of the vice then make another cut.
      • After this second cut you now have two edges that are perpendicular to each other.
    5. Place the two cut sides against the stop and the bottom of the vice and make another cut
    6. Rotate the block and cut the last uncut edge.
      • When you make a cut on one side remember to make the same cut.
      • On the perpendicular side to keep the block square.
